National Landscape Account Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the irrigation sales for 3 large national landscape accounts: Site One, Ewing and Horizon from the top down while RSM’s work the accounts from the bottom up
• Manage all large national landscape accounts with specific goals to penetrate new accounts at the corporate level to sell and place Amiad product into branch office and generate mindshare at the corporate level
• Coordinate all activities at the corporate level for landscape national accounts
• Orchestrate national branch level activity with all RSM’s
• Create OEM agreements as needed
• Estimate the size of the potential landscape irrigation market
• Formulate a vision for the landscape irrigation market
• Formulate for approval by management a comprehensive strategy for national account penetration to include, agreements of sales, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and other pertinent agreements to drive sales growth
• Report back to marketing and management what kind of marketing support is required and prioritize work and deliverables
• Work with marketing to produce marketing tools and management sales campaigns
• Determine which Amiad products are best suited for this market
• Create specs and create a plan to hit the spec market (landscape and irrigation designers)
• Success will be measured by sales growth for the large national multi-branch companies and sales

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline and/or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years in a sales role focused on USA landscape irrigation market
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with customers as well as at all levels of the organization
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in order to meet required deadlines
• Software applications – Competence with MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (MS Office)
• Consistently show patience and courtesy to customers; diplomacy and ability to resolve sales and equipment related problems
• Effectively integrate into and work within a team environment
• Prefer experience with water systems that utilize pumps and valves
• Professional teamwork and interactive people skills
• Customer focused mindset

Work Environment

• Professional office environment and occasional manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, grinding, vapor, dust and lubricants
• Routinely required to use standard office equipment
• Expected to be proficient with a variety of computer programs; including MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
• Must adhere to company safety policies and wear the required personal protective equipment as needed

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, crouch (bend at the knees), reach, stoop (bend at the waist), kneel, grasp, see, talk, hear and use hands to operate office equipment
• May occasionally lift or move office products and supplies typically 10-30 pounds but up to 50 pounds
• Adjustment to time changes when traveling between different time zones


• Frequent travel required.
